Over 15 years ago, I began my career in the thriving Gold Coast tourism industry, learning the ropes in an international multi-chain hotel group, at Crowne Plaza Royal Pines Resort, and ultimately assisting in the property’s brand transition to RACV. Then moving on to the thrill and excitement of Australia’s pinnacle theme parks, Dreamworld, WhiteWater World and SkyPoint where I enjoyed launching several new attractions including the award winning SkyPoint Climb, Australia’s highest outdoor climb experience.
In 2016, I refocused my career and started Honey & Flint Communications, allowing me to continue to enjoy my work, and to take on my addition new role as Mum. Below are some examples of the work I have undertaken as Marketing Consultant at Honey & Flint Communications.
This Gold Coast based gourmet food manufacturer needed help to establish their marketing efforts. Already well known in the manufacturing industry as a supplier of garlic, chilli and ginger, Gold Gourmet foods extended their offering into a range of mayonnaises, sauces and dressing, rebranding and commencing sales into local independent supermarkets. You’ll now find them all over Australia (and probably in your fridge).

In a period of transition from 8 state based organisations to one national, SU Australia has predominately rebranded, but needed someone to guide the ship through its final phase. This role was Interim Group Manager Marketing and Production with 7 reporting staff based around Australia in design, marketing, events, communications and photography.

This incredible organisation is doing amazing work in a very difficult field, bringing light to child safety in public settings and advocating for stronger accountability measures. It has been a privilege to work with ChildSafe in a Public Relations setting to bring public attention to their work, and spread the message. One roadshow campaign achieved a potential reach of 3.5 million through 33 radio, television, online and newspaper articles.

Clarety.Community is a unified supporter engagement system that enables non-profit organisations to manage data, communications, fundraising, events, website and more from one platform. I worked with Clarety for many years assisting with content writing, ad creation, printed marketing materials and website content.

Clarety partnered with McCrindle Research to present the 2020 Australian Communities forum in Melbourne and Sydney. The forum released statistics on the changes in the non-profit industry and gave insight into possible advancements into 2030.
